Lollipop Day, the annual Oesophageal Cancer Fund awareness and fundraising campaign, returns nationwide this year on Friday February 24th and we are inviting supporters and volunteers across the country to get involved in your local communities.

Through Lollipop Day, we aim to increase the awareness of the signs and symptoms of Oesophageal Cancer and raise vital funds for research into this difficult cancer.  This is only possible with the support of all our dedicated volunteers and supporters across the country.

How your school can get involved

In school Lollipop sales

Sell our Lollipops from class to help raise awareness of Oesophageal Cancer.

We will provide you with lollipops and collection materials to help make Lollipop Day a great success in your school!

Run a Lollipop Day Fundraiser

Choose to run a non-uniform day, a bake sale, a readathon of anything in between to help raise vital funds to support Oesophageal Cancer research. Why not get your class or your whole school involved!

We will support you to run your fundraiser by providing promotional materials and anything else that you need.

Volunteer at a local collection

We may have a collection in your locality requiring volunteers to help sell lollipops and raise awareness within the community. We can advise you of volunteer needs closer to the date or we can support teachers or coordinaters to manage their own class collection in the locality.

The Impact of Your Support

Holly Woods

Holly was a young, healthy and active music teacher who loved to play hockey  when she was diagnosed with stage 4, terminal Oesophageal Cancer at just 26 years old. Determined to continue fighting, Holly was accepted into a clinical research trial where after 3 months, her cancer was no longer present.

“The only reason that I’m still alive today is because of research into this cancer which is funded by charities like the OCF. The work that you do in fundraising for the OCF has very tangible, real effects in the everyday lives of people like me. Thank you.”

Join the Oesophageal Cancer Companion Programme

The Oesophageal Cancer Fund has an ongoing annual commitment to funding Oesophageal Cancer Research Programmes; a monthly gift will help us to maintain our commitments to Oesophageal Cancer research. Thank you.
